What I look after
- Hybrid Active Directory and Microsoft 365 for 120+ users across 20+ county departments.
- Ten courthouse sites across the 7th Judicial District: endpoints, VPN and Amazon WorkSpaces virtual desktops for judges, clerks and staff.
- Courtroom AV, videoconferencing and VoIP that has to work at 9:00 a.m., whether or not it worked yesterday.
- Court construction and network work: four court construction projects, network demarcation points in all 10 counties, and court cabling at 8.
- Small-business IT, web and drone services through my company, UplinkSync LLC: 4 clients to date, 3 ongoing.

One installer, about 40 counties
Packaged a vendor’s 55-minute manual setup as an MSI installer; Idaho Supreme Court IT used it to deploy to the remaining 38 to 40 of Idaho’s 44 counties.

CrowdStrike: triage, delegate, scale by phone
First report at 6:00 AM. Escalated early, handed the fix to county IT and walked the other counties through it by phone: 9 of 10 back the same day.

“Reboot until it works,” fixed for good
Traced recurring account lockouts to workstation time drift and put a proper NTP configuration in place. The lockouts stopped.
