Systems administrator with public-sector IT experience since 2021: a county with 120+ users across 20+ departments, ten courthouses for the Idaho state courts, a city, a special district and a national-laboratory subcontract. Places where systems have to be up when the courtroom opens. I’m looking for a full-time infrastructure role; UplinkSync LLC, my small-business IT practice, runs on my own time.
Systems I have run
Identity
Windows Server and hybrid Active Directory; Microsoft 365 and Entra ID: accounts, mailboxes, licensing and access.
Endpoints
Windows desktops and laptops: imaging, deployment, repair and a district-wide hardware refresh; mobile devices in Cisco Meraki Systems Manager; MSI packaging.
Remote access
VPN and Amazon WorkSpaces virtual desktops for judges, clerks and staff across ten counties.
Voice and AV
VoIP, videoconferencing, courtroom AV and digital evidence presentation equipment.
Network
LAN/WAN and VLAN configuration, structured cabling and patch panels, and cabling layouts drawn from floor plans.
Servers
Proxmox, VMware and Docker; containerized services on VPS infrastructure behind an Nginx reverse proxy; Linux and macOS.

Owner / Principal Consultant
UplinkSync LLC
LLC formed Feb 2026. Small-business IT, web and drone services · 4 clients to date, 3 ongoing.
- Enterprise standards, small-business pricing: wrote a master services agreement, rate sheet and service schedules so a small studio gets the same clarity a government IT department expects.
- Southwick Black Belt Academy: replaced aging front-desk laptops with two desktops on a switched network (both print; before, one laptop reached the printer over a long USB cable); tied the event-night TV into the sound system with a new mixer; audited DNS; migrating email from cPanel to Microsoft 365 to fix delivery failures (in progress).
- Real-estate brokerage: Google Workspace accounts, office network install and configuration, DNS updates, a company password manager, and drone shoots for listing marketing.
- Launched 3 client websites, including Aurum Grove Boutique’s first storefront (connected to its Poshmark shop) and a redesign of Southwick’s site with an events page staff update without web logins (platform hosted and managed by Spark Membership).
- Security reviews of client sites; flagged outdated software for remediation.

IT Systems Administrator
Madison County, Idaho
Recruited as IT Support Specialist; brought on as IT Systems Administrator before my start date. Supported 120+ users across 20+ departments, coordinating with Idaho Supreme Court IT, State of Idaho ITS, University of Idaho IT and City of Rexburg GIS on shared offices.
- Ran hybrid Active Directory and Microsoft 365 identity: new accounts, mailboxes and VoIP extensions.
- Ended recurring account lockouts: workstations were drifting out of time sync with the domain controller (the standing fix was rebooting until it worked); traced the drift and got a proper NTP configuration in place. The lockouts stopped.
- Configured the courtroom evidence-presentation system with the vendor, including its audio handoff into the state court system — I knew both sides of the integration.
- Helped lead the rollout of an email link-scanning tool.
- Built a call menu for the court clerks’ line, ending telemarketing calls that rang straight through.
- Supported AV and videoconferencing in the commissioners’ meeting room; made county website updates.
- Gave technical input on emerging-technology proposals from an IT and security standpoint.
- Helped Spanish-speaking members of the public with passport paperwork at the Clerk’s Office.

Field Service Technician, 7th Judicial District
Idaho Supreme Court
Field technician for 10 county courthouses and about 180 court users, about 1,500 miles a month. Sole field technician for the district for the first 18 months; trained the second when the district added the position.
- Supported court endpoints, VPN, Amazon WorkSpaces, courtroom AV and recording, jury tools, printers and public kiosks.
- Turned a vendor’s 55-minute manual setup for jury-questionnaire scanning into an MSI installer; Idaho Supreme Court IT used it to deploy to the remaining 38 to 40 of Idaho’s 44 counties.
- CrowdStrike outage (July 2024): first report at 6:00 AM; on site in Bingham County before hours; found the fix, alerted the Trial Court Administrator early, handed the fix to county IT, rolled it out in Bonneville, and walked every other county through it by phone — 9 of 10 counties back the same day, the tenth (no 16 GB USB drive on hand) fixed on site before business hours the next business day.
- Designed ServiceNow dashboards for district field techs and their supervisor: each district’s tickets by county and owner, so field techs could pick up service-desk work between site visits.
- Helped deploy the Zoom Rooms Controller app statewide, so clerks run court Zoom sessions from their own computers instead of the wall displays.
- Supported courtroom livestreams for nationally covered criminal proceedings.
- Helped manage four court construction projects (Bingham and Bonneville courtrooms, Jefferson clerk’s area, Custer courthouse); installed network demarcation points in all 10 counties and worked court network cabling at 8.
- Handled a Custer server outage end to end — retrieved the server, took it to Boise, then met the vendor in Salmon for a network walkthrough.
- Rebuilt a broken county–state working relationship, restoring court IT access to 9 of 10 county buildings; briefed a state legislator in Boise on the scope and value of the new position.
Aug 2022 – Mar 2023
Information Systems Technician
El Dorado Hills Community Services District (CA)
- In-house technician alongside the district’s contracted MSP: administered Active Directory and advised leadership on technology improvements, including an upgraded PA system for the aquatics facility.
- Ran the Zoom Rooms setup for livestreamed board meetings.
- Reorganized the IT storage room into a trackable asset inventory.
Oct 2021 – Apr 2022
Field Service Technician
CRI Advantage, subcontracted to Idaho National Laboratory
- Dell TechDirect–certified endpoint support across INL sites: warranty repairs, reimaging, elevated software installs and troubleshooting.
- Patched network connections in the field and coordinated each change with the NOC through verification.
- Trained at the in-town walk-in support center, then worked field assignments at two INL sites, including support for the site’s main security gates.
- Wrote the first rebuild documentation for a security workstation after reimaging it; the documentation stayed in use after I left.
- Held an HSPD-12 PIV credential (federal background investigation).
Apr – Oct 2021
IT Support Technician
City of Rexburg
- Help desk and device imaging for 18 city departments — including Police, Fire, Finance, Public Works and GIS — plus Madison County Fire while it shared services with the city.
